If you’re picturing the work of cleaning out an old house, hauling off junk, mowing an overgrown lot, or making repairs before anyone would touch the property, you can set that worry down. No, you don’t have to fix up or clean out the property to sell your inherited share. It can be sold as-is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea that a property must be presentable before it can sell applies to listing a home on the open market for a retail buyer. That’s not what this is. A buyer who works with inherited and distressed property takes it in whatever condition it’s in, peeling paint, a full house, a neglected lot, code issues, none of which becomes your problem to solve.
